Announcement
Hey everyone! I think I’ll be pulling a NASA and switching to space information! It’s a real date-lightful surprise.
April 1st, 2026
Point Nemo
Point Nemo is the most isolated place on earth. It’s located in the South Pacific completely surrounded by open ocean. “Nemo” means “no one” or, “nobody” which is very fitting since there is nothing surrounding Point Nemo. A fun fact is that Point Nemo has a nickname called the “Space Cemetery”. It’s used to crash land defunct satellites and space stations. Wanna know about the mysterious “Bloop”? Checkout the “History Mysteries” website!
Ireland Lough’s
Ever heard of Lough’s? They’ll lake your breath away. In Ireland Loughs are Lakes. They are called loughs because Loch is an Irish word that means Lake, pool, or sea inlet. Loch was anglicised (made into English form) into Lough.
Happy St. Patrick’s!
Wear green on March 17 or you might be surprised by a pinch!

FUN FACT!
Cats have whiskers to detect things around them. Did you know that fish have a similar thing? It’s called a lateral line. The lateral line is a canal like thing that has small hair like structures so they can detect things and see in black or murky water.
Atlantis
Atlantis is an island created by Plato, who was a Greek Philosopher. It is stated that the island was in the Atlantic Ocean beyond something called the “Pillars of Hercules” also known as the Strait of Gibraltar which connect the Atlantic Ocean to the Mediterranean. The people who lived in Atlantis were called Atlanteans. It is said that their economy was strong
The Viperfish

Viperfish (Chauliodus) are fish with sharp teeth that resemble toothpicks/fangs hence the name. Viperfish are typically found in the North Pacific, in deep waters. In order for Viperfish to survive, they need to eat. Viperfish use bioluminescence and their teeth to hunt for crustaceans.
French Ruins
A semi-recent discovery are some underwater ruins found off the coast of Brittany, France in 2017. It is a wall that is said to date back to 5300 B.C.E. This wall was apparently used for fish traps or a shield against rising sea levels. The ruins were probably on Sein Island but since the Island shrunk, the ruins went with it and now sit under about 30 feet of water.
