FUN FACT!

Cats have whiskers to detect things around them. Did you know that fish have a similar thing? It’s called a lateral line. The lateral line is a canal like thing that has small hair like structures so they can detect things and see in black or murky water.

The Viperfish

Viperfish (Chauliodus) are fish with sharp teeth that resemble toothpicks/fangs hence the name. Viperfish are typically found in the North Pacific, in deep waters. In order for Viperfish to survive, they need to eat. Viperfish use bioluminescence and their teeth to hunt for crustaceans.
